Services Offered by Living Autism Out Loud, LLC

  1. Culturally Responsive Training:
  • LAOL provides training sessions designed to equip service providers with the knowledge and
    skills necessary to engage effectively with racially and ethnically diverse families.
  • These sessions aim to address and reduce systemic barriers faced by these families when
    accessing services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Intellectual
    Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
  1. Curriculum Development:
  • The organization develops culturally responsive curricula tailored to the needs of human service
    agencies, educational institutions, and service providers.
  • These curricula are designed to promote inclusive practices and support the development of
    meaningful partnerships between providers and families.
  1. In-Person and Online Presentations:
  • LAOL offers both in-person and online presentations that focus on improving family-provider
    partnerships.
  • These presentations are designed to raise awareness about the challenges faced by racially and
    ethnically diverse families and to promote culturally sustaining practices among service providers.
  1. Social Justice Advocacy:
  • LAOL advocates for social justice in the context of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and
    Intellectual Developmental Disabilities (IDD) by challenging systemic inequities and promoting
    policies that ensure equitable access to services for all families, especially those from racially and
    ethnically diverse communities.
  • The organization works to highlight and address the intersecting issues of race, disability, and
    access, striving to eliminate discrimination and promote systemic change.
